David Bonal, founder of IS Margin

IS Margin is the studio of David Bonal, a visual and web designer. From the province of Lugo, we work with businesses that need to look better and explain themselves more clearly to their customers.

Where we come from

David trained in Interior Design. There he learned to think about a space from the point of view of whoever walks through it: where they come in, what they see first and where they decide.

A brand and a website are walked through too. We bring that same eye to every project.

Why this studio

Many local businesses do great work that their image fails to convey. We want to improve their presence, but in a reasoned way: so it looks better and, above all, so it is better understood.

How we do it

We start with the information architecture: what is said, in what order and where. Well arranged, the message lands first time and the business gets closer to its goals.

We study the target customer. When you know who you’re selling to, it’s easier to be specific than to generalise.

And on that base, the aesthetic lift: a careful image that reinforces what already works.

Altogether, a design system that leaves margin for study, practicality and aesthetic reinforcement. Critical design, we call it.

Where we’re going

We keep learning. The next step is going deeper into user experience and interface design: the psychology of how people think and decide, simpler navigation flows and more accessible, polished and clear interfaces.

An ever more reasoned design intent, so the projects to come are born clearer, visually and technologically.
